Our cottage “Le Paludier”
Holidays in a traditional salt worker’s house in Southern Brittany!
Cheerful summer days, autumn evenings by the fire, romantic weekends in a small village in Southern Brittany. Whether it’s for spending days relaxing or packed full of activities, spending time with family or fulfilling a childhood dream… our “Chaumière” (thatched cottage) will allow you to take a break from the daily hustle and bustle. The house was renovated with care and kept the typical features of a salt worker’s cottage such as wooden beams, whitewashed stone and clay walls, a large fireplace… giving it a “back in the day”, cosy soul.
Spreading over 70 m2, the cottage is attached to our home. The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob and electric oven, dish washer, fridge, freezer and microwave. Cooking salt is available for free!
The 35 m2 living/dining room on the ground floor has an extending dinner table, a living room corner with a TV, stereo, library, video player and games as well as a large fire place. On the first floor you will find two bedrooms: one with a 140 cm wide double bed, the other one with two single beds. Each bedroom has a bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. The garden is right next to the terrace and also has a brasero barbecue.
The cottage can be rented as a whole accommodation for 4 people during summer, or as two separate bed and breakfast rooms during low season.
We are currently renovating a small wooden building on our property into a second holiday home. The garden is shared with us.
